Anime Review: Aldnoah.Zero

Aldnoah.Zero Review

“Another weird anime with punctuation marks in its name” is the first thing that came to mind. I liked .hack but still, it was different but lacked unique. If you are ready to watch an anime that you don’t really know what to expect, then Aldnoah.Zero is for you.

Story: 7/10
I was surprised by how good this was. First the characters don’t seem very well developed nor do they relate to the viewer, and that is what makes them a lot more realistic in the fact that all characters have a deep emotional side story, and even if it didn’t get covered on the screen, it actually happened. The way characters act in the time of crisis should be unpredictable, but this random flow of emotions is really well portrayed here.

Also, despite the main protagonist being a guy, there is a surprisingly huge number of female cast in this anime, but not enough to completely erase all romantic aspects of the main lead. This is both good and bad, but again it failed to pull me in towards the protagonist’s inner struggles, if he had any.

Music: 4/10
Taste in music is a personal opinion, but I find the opening annoying, but including the ending theme in some cutscenes – er, I meant climax scenes? - makes it worthwhile.

Artstyle: 10/10
Come on, this was made in 2014. Not much senseless censorship like Black Cat or Tokyo Ghoul, and the world was very inclusive. Some scenes had cliché camera angles which really give the retro feel of the old anime, while not looking boring at the same time. The animation was smooth, the boring robots had smooth motion cycles, etc.

Overall: 7/10
There are many points that do not make sense (such as the infinite repair supplies, anyone?) but overall this is a good anime to watch if you want something that tries to be unique like Code Geass did, and didn’t fail nor succeed, like Code Geass did as well. That said, it is quite from everything else you’ve watched, and if you like tactics, Aldnoah stresses on points never explored in anime and difficult to find even in a video game.

I wish they make an action-RPG with this, because seriously this anime if filled with things comparable to video games. Play More Zelda!

Tokyo Goul No Spoiler Review

Tokyo Ghoul No-spoilers Review

As this is literally the first anime I watch episode by episode instead of wait for the episodes to accumulate and watch when the last episode airs, you can tell that it is no ordinary anime. In this review, I will try to be as brief as possible, with no spoilers.

If you have heard about Tokyo Ghoul, then you have obviously heard the impatient fans urging anyone to read the manga and forget the anime. There are other fans, including me, who would suggest that you don’t watch the anime until the uncensored version is released on the internet, because the version right now is the TV-approved version. However, the rising DDoS attacks should be enough reason for you to disregard this message and watch right now.

A problem with trying to describe an anime like this without spoilers, is that it is slightly unique in the way the story is portrayed.

Synopsis: With enemies of humanity against every corner, the battle between the hunter and the hunted intensifies as more factions crop up, all with the desire to gain control over humanity. But the hunters have yet to realize the biggest threat to their own survival.

The story itself is not extremely different from some [insert cannibalistic humanoid here] ideology that you have read before, but actually, it is quite different in the way it is portrayed. Extremely. At the beginning you will not think it is your typical cannibal clan plot, and the “typical” plot points that are portrayed are actually putting you on other people’s point of view. You won’t sympathize with the enemy, you will be the enemy and feel the pain of being the hunter too.

They really put a lot of 3D sound into it. I’d give that more than the animation because sometimes they censor almost everything on the screen. 10 /10 for sounds. The music tracks were ok, there was one track that was distinctive, the opening is quite cool, and the instruments used were fine. I’d give music an 8/10.

The animation gets 4/10 comparatively and artstyle gets a good 7/10. Although the animation isn’t repetitive or failing in any way, it doesn’t compare to the innovative styles used in the production of Tokyo Ghoul itself. This is bound to change when the uncensored version comes out, really.

The plot gets a good 9/10 for having factions that aren’t too cultist, but there really should have been the main focus of the story. I’d prefer the story on a bigger rather than on a personal level, even though it was portrayed perfectly from one faction’s perspective.

That said, the overall score has to lose because of the sadly inappropriate and random “fanservice” that makes it appeal to a “male” demographic (seriously who even likes distractions from the plot anyway) that the world of anime in general would do without. Overall 7/10 for censorship and fanservice.

If you are looking for something similar, there is Kiseijuu that is currently airing, and hey, it has dubstep at the core of the best scenes, but it has even more “fanservice” so watch at your own risk. Although it isn’t as dark as Tokyo Ghoul, but it sure is kissing up to it so bad that it’s worth the watch!

Tokyo Ghoul made me start watching anime again after I gave up on anime entirely. I do not know about you, but that means something. I watched Shiki entirely because I couldn’t wait between each episode and another. If Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan shape a new genre, then it’ll be the rules of that genre that are shaped in Tokyo Ghoul.

My complaints on that imperfect genre is to stop talking to only one gender and stop the useless fanservice. Protagonists should be women, romance doesn’t need to exist, and censorship for violent scenes should stop existing too because “fanservice” brings the rating up to M+ anyway, so why censor blood?????? #logic

Mini Speaker: Mini Bees Hands-on Review

Mini Speaker: Mini Bees Hands-on Review

Found a cute Chinese office toy of your favorite droid and decided to splurge money on it blindly without understanding the controls? Well, fear not, because I have included a video that figures out how to start it up and use it.

Now, I didn't explain the Radio feature because I realized it afterwards. Just adding the audio jack alone will serve as the antennae.

Turning it on will automatically turn it to radio mode where it will keep scanning the FM channels. After it's done, you can briefly rotate his head back and forth just like the MP3 version.

The only different controls are the play and pause, that just re-initiate the scanning of the radio channels.

The speakers do have clean sound, but every time you press on and off, everything resets, which isn't good. Also, the maximum volume is great but not fantastic. Every time the device is turned on, all settings reset to default, and radio mode is on.

I hope that these are enough instructions for you to not feel ripped off and try again. This speaker isn't cheap: it really does as advertised.

Tokyo Ghoul No-spoilers Review

The plot gets a good 9/10 for having factions that aren’t too complicated, being extremely unexpected, having a majority of psycho cast for the first time in modern anime in a satisfying amount. Trying not to say any more would be spoilers.

However overall it’s only 7/10 because of horribly unnecessary fanservice. I was going to drop it, although luckily they are few and predictable. Be warned, and also, don’t mind the beginning of the first episode. I’ll keep this short not to ruin the short season. Don't read any further if you do not want spoilers.

Tell me your opinion about the last and totally different episode of Tokyo Ghoul. Wasn’t it really a calm climax?

Smartwatch 2 Review

Smartwatch 2 Review

As mentioned earlier, smart watches are cool. I’ve bought the Sony Smartwatch 2 for four days now, and I have received mixed reactions from anyone who first saw it. Nevertheless, the end of every conversation was, “I want to buy it. Is it worth it?” The reason they failed to judge it themselves was that ALL reactions followed this flow chart:

Therefore, I hope to answer everyone’s questions. What can the SW2 do and cannot do, what the others can do that the SW2 cannot, etc., shall all be covered. First, my personal experience, and an important note:

I gave up on LG forever
This is a sadistic bastard, but he isn't actually bad at performance.

Ever since a vital update in the SW2 app extension in the app store, no LG user can connect to the watch, and I searched high and low for the older apk version but with no luck. If you are a just person, and have a readily available server nearby, host an HONEST website WITH NO SURVEYS to archive all the apks on the Play Store. Back on track, this is the last straw with my LG. Ever since the software update, I have to restart my phone weekly, else the RAM will clog up to 84% used up. The memory reading hasn’t improved to the point of the first few months I bought it, and the Home is now ruined. I use Mobo live for its RAM booster just to avoid opening the settings. The worst part of this whole story is that the reason I updated was because 4.0.3 had a dreadfully revolting bug, which I’d not even mention its name. On a side note, after countless days of searching the internet, 4.3 is ominous, which gives me the conclusion that the number 3 is cursed. More proof: Divide by 3, or any multiple of three, and most of the time you’ll get irrational numbers (unless you are in primary school, still unaware of the malicious schemes of sadistic mathematicians).
Oh the horror! This is so stupid though, because they inverted all what they did except adding 6 and dividing it by 2.

Sorry, and I love math. I am aware that this has no relation to the title, so I’ll stop here (was about to explain error margins in languages). After connecting my Smartwatch 2 to the Samsung – finally - the baby behemoth was running. Running apps from the phone, that is. Which means, most apps you will find in the play store will require you to connect to your smartphone to be able to use them, but if you keep looking, there are good apps out there that don’t require connection. There is also a method to emulate a full smartphone on the Gear, which, in theory, should work with most of the others too, but I’ll keep you updated if I actually try it. It’s important to note that the only method of notification from the watch is vibration and light, so tighten the strap if you want to differentiate between an insignificant Facebook comment “lol” and the fact that your phone is out of range, because there is a significant difference in vibration, which is very practical. I’ve literally had a period of paranoia over objects in my bag getting stolen. You can never be too careful. Imagine the possibilities a smartwatch in general can save.
image from here

But the smartwatch 2, whats so special about it specifically? NFC? LCD display? 5:4? I like the fact that it is for all android devices 4.0+ , the fact that it is waterproof, wouldn’t spy on my words, wouldn’t suddenly go loudspeaker, has great battery life, and is small. I do want to be notified of important notifications, but at the same time, mobile phones are sometimes too precious to be taken out. I also don’t want to have an expensive delicacy that can be easily identifiable and theft, which is why I decided not to get the Galaxy Gear. However, my mother will get it with the Note 3, so I might review it too. Sadly, I didn’t try connecting successfully via NFC, but I will soon.
image from here

The battery lives for really long! Being the power-consumption obsessed person I am, to get to hear this from me is something. The unit is a little too big to perfectly fit on the sides of my wrist (OMG my wrist isn’t a cylinder at all! I’ve been deceived!) but they’re easy to get used to, and I’m guessing that all smartwatches will be as comfortable as ordinary watches. I’ve found myself using the smartwatch a lot too, saving many situations where I needed to open the phone, such as checking someone’s phone number, checking the recent SMS of what to buy from the groceries, Setting a timer of when to stop playing Xbox and play on 3DS (you think I study? Ha!) In addition, viewing events from the calendar. The only reason I’d open my phone then would be to make a call. Even the music player is taken care of (but I find myself going back to the phone for that one, SW2 only for I/O toggle).
before the Gear?

Therefore, the smartwatch has set aside some of the uses of the phone at the street, but still, it’s a smartphone accessory. Which goes back to the vital question: Is it worth buying? Tech enthusiasts would say that its ahead of its time, but those people should try saying that to the Gear. Unless they are looking for things that can measure blood pressure and best way to give you a trauma – defining the Smart Lens – then they are right. However, it is impossible to ignore how many people own this already. It was sold out thrice in a row at my local shop, and that is why I got it late. I wasn’t careful this time. All the tech geeks I met, on the other side, already owned a smart watch, someone having all Pebble, SW1 and SW2. If you own one already, then welcome to the geek boat.
image from here, and this is what non-geeks are asking for: weapons.

If you want reasons to repel away from buying it, well I don’t know, look at the price of the Gear. It looks like it’s already trying to compete with Apple’s future watch, before it’s even released. Seriously, we shouldn’t be giving them that kind of expectation. Also, it’s a “new” market, but lets all agree on not having tech gadgets becoming very selective on the devices they pair with. The Gear had that as a big minus, unless you so happen to own two or three interchangeable Note 3 devices in your house. We should decide what they’ll tailor for us, not the other way around.
good one, Samsung.

All in all, I don't regret this one bit! It feels like the future already, the dreaded future with robots beheading us and all that. If you are a real geek, you must own one of these things. However, the smart lens do feel scary, even if I support the Google Glass. Lets leave dark theories for another article. Caio.
I promise you a really good series of articles about my predictions of the near and distant future pretty soon.

Android 4.1.2, should you update?

Android 4.1.2, should you upgrade?

A few weeks ago, i updated 2 of my android devices, namely the LG P880 (aka 4X HD) and the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000, both from ICS to Jelly Bean, 4.1.2. If you have already heard, many people complain about the LG update and I heard a lot on the internet not to update, but I did anyway. And here is what I think:
Although there are some crucial additions, don't update your phone.

Okay, so the reason why I wanted to update my P880 was because it started freezing right after answering the call, then I couldn't hear or talk, and the screen remains on and the phone starts heating like a Samsung, and the only thing I could do was remove the battery. Very not reliable and quite a pathetic situation that recently appeared which forced me to update from 4.0.3 to 4.1.2(latest for my phone). Here's the most details I can recall about the two phones for the course of 1.5 weeks.

UI
new Emoji letters reading, totally worth the update

It is definite that both the Samsung and the LG have each their own new look, which makes them both look a lot different than each other, and more like kitchen appliances, specifically an easy-to-use microwave for the LG and a metallic oven for the Samsung, or that's how i felt them to be. LG's Quickmemo and settings look like the new Nexus, and overall really helpful. NFC now has a toggle between LG tags and Android beam straight from the top bar, and both phones have the brightness as well there. Sadly the NFC now starts consuming slightly more battery than before, but its still much lower than all other NFC battery consumption for all other phones I have seen with NFC.
not all Emoji are supported, but something is better than nothing

A few very important features: the new notification bar feels like the first page of the news paper, as well as the Emoji (iPhone emotions/whatsapp) are partially supported in black and white)

Battery

The LG's battery started degrading, becoming like a Samsung, and the Samsung's one got even worse that it doesn't charge if you leave the screen on at lowest brightness! The LG one started getting tolerable soon, and quickly recovered after 5 days of the update, but still is nowhere as good as it was. I kind of regret upgrading. Things like "screen idle" and "screen brightness" and "android OS" were Samsung-only excuses for wasting battery, but now sometimes you can find them in an LG! However, Samsung's mistakes are getting even worse.

Wifi

Both phones now have a new feature: disconnecting automatically from wifi when too far or "limited connection" and connecting automatically. Best thing is that apps such as facebook no longer need a restart if the wifi was rebooted. Also, one might assume from this that the range gets shorter, but so far i didn't have real issues, in fact, i can still reach further than my iPhone.

Speed
image from here

One of the things is that I've recently been having 5MB of RAM free, so i updated, only to initially find 200MB free. Now i am improved thanks to a few apps I'll mention later, to around 450-400MB free on my average use. The Samsung still has 200MB free, but utilizes them better than before, and so does the LG. Overall, speed did improve, and if it  However when you start LG this may not be the case, and if you want to know why, then read on.

Home

As there were improvements in GUI, there were changes to home, right? They aren't improvements, they are regressions! Well, the LG's home is what makes is so slow, its very laggy, and now it frequently goes not responding! I had to install Mobo live (an upgrade from pandahome, which doesn't support the old themes which I have mentioned before) to fix the issue, but really I miss the coloured folders and the themes LG had. It was so fascinating and my friend rooted her phone just to be able to use LG's distinctive home. Why did it come to this? Trust me, if you are desperate to update, try 4.0.4 instead, or if you have to, use a third party launcher. I would've recommended Go Launcher EX but now it has ads. Try checking the internet reviews for best launchers.

Phone

While I haven't really tried mobile data, of course I tried the phone. Voice quality dropped in both, which is still quite pathetic, but now, no matter how much laggy the phone was, it will magically become fast and not freeze after calling. Phew! Navigating through the phone app is a little slow though, and for the Samsung it isn't much of a significant difference.

Overall:
Don't update Don't update Don't update Don't update Don't update

While there are some improvements, overall you don't need it unless you were extremely short on RAM and wanted to utilize it more.
But don't worry, if you do, there is this extremely suspicious non-root method to downgrade and an extra shady method to upgrade from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 (which I can't find, but it's German and on youtube and xda-developers forum) which has the fix of the bug I wanted (for the P880). And if you are reluctant to try something unsafe, there are always apps that make android better, such as android air, and Mobo live, and its task killer, as well many task killers on the app store that are not old. Don't try Antutu bench-marking if you don't want to be depressed.

This was all written because I was bored that the longingly awaited android 5 does not have any news yet. I might have more courage in the future to show you the major change to my texture pack, but probably I might not add them to the next update.

Black Butler season 1 review

Black Butler Review

This 24-episode of season one of Black Butler, or kuroshitsuji, made by Square Enix sure spreads like wildfire. Luckily, I haven’t been set ablaze but all of my friends have and this review is more like my reply to their urging and requesting of me to watch it.

I don’t hate it of course, but the bad is way more than the good in this anime. First let’s start with the main thing I’d like to question the fans:

Why is anime with so much Western elements that it is even set in London becoming this popular? If I wanted to go look at medieval Europe, I’d go watch a European movie. Yet I go to the Easternmost country in the globe to watch about the West? My point is that I am against the invasion of Western elements all over anime and games. Even in attack on titan, they have English names. Sure, Fullmetal Alchemist had many western elements too, but it wasn’t all that. I am against the genre in general and rarely watch it, but for it to get this overrated: wow. I’m confused.

my possible third favorite character.

My two favorite characters? Griell and Undertaker. After that there is no third position. Why? This anime is really popular among girls, so it obviously some yaoi. That’s no question. Let’s see, we’ve got Sebestian and Ciel, Griell and Sebestian, and some others which I did not care about. There is, as you guessed, a good-looking butler and a clumsy maid, as well as a blonde boy with hairclips. The character development sure lacks, as either all of it happened before the anime, behind the scenes, and etc. One big downfall is that Ciel’s face as well as many others shows fewer emotions than a brick. So almost every episode does not build or destroy anything, excluding the climax episodes. Although the main characters should be mad men, there are no mental breakdowns, nor are there any exaggerated grieving scenes, which I wanted to see.

image from here, maybe

Next is the plot. As I mentioned above, the plot is made so every episode looks like the one before it, comparing to shows like That’s So Raven and Zack and Cody. However there is a plot. Here’s my non-spoiler summary:
In medieval Britain, one spoiled brat with a pirate get up decides to kill people he doesn’t even know. A good looking kind-yet-evil man helps him exact his revenge. This man is tied to the red string of fate with a guy using a chainsaw. Who will this love triangle favor?
Alright I did exaggerate myself, but the amount of internet talk about this is massive! Sebestian even buttons his shirt and makes him wear the ring! That’s a lot of work for a butler, though I haven’t really seen one, and it was quite understandable where SPOILER1 happens, although it was for a different reason.
Overall I think the plot would’ve been better if they focused on it. There were too few Griell and Undertaker scenes for me to be satisfied. Also, there is a huge amount of fillers at the beginning (Undertaker and Griell being two of them, slightly), although some of them eventually turn into plot points. Seriously the story could do without the sadistic humor, and it needs more blood scenes and fewer scenes of the clumsy staff and stupid inhabitants of the Phantomhive house. There are whole episodes without a single blood scene! That’s a waste of youth.
a redhead, with long hair, and a long metal weapon. What's to not like about him?

Sorry, but I did not like the music too much, only a few tracks were nice, but the “HAAAAaaaaaa hs” song was disturbing, and made me turn the volume down and read the subtitles, guessing who said what. There were a few tracks that had this awesome feeling, one of them having a sad and satisfactorily dark feeling to it. The opening was from SID! I really like the singer’s voice as I’ve heard it a lot before.

Now for the artstyle. I am really picky about this, and let me say; only Sebestian looked good. The artstyle isn’t bad at all, in fact, Dangan Ronpa and many new anime are copying it, but it sure is new and Ciel doesn’t always look good in it. Griell looks fabulous as always, of course; no question about that.

Overall, I’d give it 6/10. Remember this is just season one of the anime so I did not compare it with the manga, nor season two.
Play More Zelda!

Spoiler1: when he starts frowning and actually left him when he was outside London. He was mad probably because of the fact that he didn’t end his revenge when he got the ultimate chance. Regardless of reasons, it was the right thing to do.

Girls Convention in KSA

Girls Convention in KSA

Naruto was present in bountiful numbers at GCON this weekend. It was a girls-only convention and was really fun.
Why they had even Alienware an PSVita but not this!

The event was mainly from Sony, but the Wii U was also there. Xbox never showed up. I saw the 4K Sony screens which looked really high quality even on a PS3 without the 4K support. The sharpness was fantastically precise on both consoles which were HD but not having 4K support. This proves the quality of the screens and their capability. Unfortunately I did not check if I could see without glasses: I was in a public place and didn't have a tape measure. Its colours were vivid, though, and much better than the concealed HD screens. Above all, it was sharper. I feel the Wind Waker HD isn't so useless after all.

A lot of these jackets were also present
There were a lot of cosplayers in the convention. Most people, including me, were playing it safe and cosplaying as mainstream characters or from extremely popular series. Most were either Naruto or from the Pokemon series, and the flagship characters too. There was a Fullmetal alchemist and quite a few soldiers from Attack on Titans. There were some Vocaloids, but honestly, only a minute few of the entire convention looked hand-sewn. Creativity was not a wanted thing in the convention: a lot of girls didn't understand my version of a Team Rocket grunt. However this is true for all conventions, and this one had a lot of great events.

   Tips for first-timers?

Be yourself behind the cosplay. You probably won't have much time and resources to get a perfect cosplay, and most probably the cosplay isn’t your perfect touch of fashion. Wearing a uniform (for example Team Rocket uniform, not a cosplay of one character) allows you to be yourself behind the uniform, just as there is plenty of Team Rocket members which are probably not met. This allows your hairstyle to be whatever you want, and you can spare yourself the wig. I won't say that all ready-made outfits are not real cosplays, but if you are trying to be a unique character (e.g. Ciel Phantomhive), do not print on flat shirts and aim for perfection in fabrics at least.
(what I really wanted to cosplay as was also a uniform of a sort)

Another good thing is to be friendly in the convention, since there is no reason to stress yourself out or act as the character you are cosplaying. Be your cheerful self. These people are probably the only ones like you that you will meet. And since it is a party of some sort, so might as well take the chance to socialize.
don't go online shopping and then complain everybody is wearing the same. This is also somewhat a uniform but you barely have room for creativity, right?

All in all it was a great convention, my complaint probably is that it is dark, but otherwise it was great. I advise more girls to cosplay next year, maybe with wide clothes and the Hijab if you are worried about the pictures. A lot of people respect privacy and a lot of cosplayers agree on taking pictures.

As a Zelda fan, I seem to have insulted the Wind Waker HD remake. For that, I am not sorry, and I request from Nintendo a direct sequel to Super Mario Sunshine, with its superior physics and water surface shape than the Super Mario Galaxy. Super Mario Galaxy had more fluidity in controls, and the laws of gravity were quite fun, but I miss the law of conservation of momentum in Super Mario Sunshine and I do not want a remake: I want a sequel. Maybe I'll write more on that later, but for now, Play More Zelda! It's coming 22nd November!

Futari Wa Milky Holmes Review

Anime Review: Futari wa Milky Holmes

As if the series wasn’t weird enough. They had to go and make a side story with actually a progressing plot. I noticed that on the internet people say it destroyed the series. While I do have my own complaints on this season, there are reasons why this anime is a great addition to the series.

First, let’s start with the main characters. Kazumi was a good protagonist; her friend Alice was downright plain. Even Kazumi can be considered a little slow at the start, but then again she is the one who lifts off the entire plot. Alice, on the other hand, had a good look, transformation, toys, and voice, but her personality lacked and lagged a lot. She was just the ordinary, shy, polite girl who leaves the thinking to other people. If it wasn’t for Kazumi, they would’ve never even begun the series. If it wasn’t for her amazing toys, she’d get a zero. 1/10 for Alice and 5/10 overall (let’s not talk about spoilers in such a small anime.)

Why 5/10 ? There are a great bunch of characters that appear later on. Especially two certain braided creatures that have a really good background and perfectly twisted personalities. The reason why it doesn't get more is because some really good character slots never even showed up. They would've made more room for epic battles and crazy personalities, as there really was some crazy people and liars in the anime, but they only got one or two short scenes, and no fighting. You could only guess that it might’ve even been as huge as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood with an extremely twisted plot, but the short time sadly ended the story way too soon.

Moving on to my biggest complaint in this season: the TIME! Only twelve “episodes”, each one being only 12 minutes! WHY? I wanted more, and I think if this season had a more open ending then it could’ve been possible that the series will prove itself more and more. Plot’s too short.

Next is the plot itself. It doesn't have that much comedy, which is a plus due to being a first in the series. Anymore said would spoil anything, so I’ll leave the last part for the spoilers. I give it 8/10 for being awesome.

What else is there to talk about? The unique toys, a heroine with a bow and arrow, and the list goes on. The world itself feels different in a great and unique way. (Easter egg spoiler) Phantom Thief Empire appear as the cool allies of justice too.

Overall I give this season a 7/10. It has good music, good opening, good artstyle (as is the rest of the series), but loses points for time and trying to pack it all in that time.

Animal Crossing New Leaf Review No Spoilers

Animal Crossing Review No Spoilers
I've discovered the most perfect way to know if an animal crossing game is worth getting or not. It's actually a little story of how I got to know the animal crossing series. When I got AC:WW which i was eager for, it had its own feeling and mood around it. It was magic? No, it was because of how Bunnie and Daisy sing the town tune. I got the game during Acorn Week, but the acorn week didn't start until I finished my job at Tom Nook. That is what really made me love the series.

City Folk was extremely disappointing though, being almost a port of Wild World on the Nintendo Wii, and the Animalese has lost its touch and had a rolling tongue accent. To me, nothing can top Wild World, even when I had to migrate towns and the museum turned to "so-and-so".

New Leaf, the latest one which I've been playing since release date, has so much new features and better graphics. It has DLCs, many new items and categories, but for the review I decided to focus on a rather unusual story, rather than listing the new items and spoiling the point of discovery.

I opened the game after a long time of not playing it. If a game is worth getting then you'd know from this. Wild World felt nostalgic and I got addicted to it again. City Folk failed to draw me in. But with New Leaf, you get punishment for being missed! Nature punishes you like in all AC games, but you get work to do, to help you dive into the game again. The work even has a timer, and I probably took too much time. Watch with the images:
Raining, and gardening has never felt so free

Like in City Folk, you can change view

not to spoil anything, but this timer is for SOMETHING when you don't open the game for a while. No, it's not "find the Resetti before he finds you" game.

The worst thing about this game is taking pictures. because 99.9999999% of them, your eyes will be closed

Did you enjoy a "picture review"? Since Animal Crossing is a life simulation game, I decided it would be best to leave you review it before playing it, with as minimal spoilers as possible. For new-timers to the series but not the genre, Animal Crossing is nothing like Sims games, and I hope these pictures have proved it. Play More Zelda!
